Individual/Group lessons: single booking

Payment: Lessons will be charged at the agreed rate per hour, payable at least 24 hours in advance, by bank transfer.

Cancellations/ Rescheduling: If there are any lessons you are unable to attend then the Tutor must be notified at least 48 hours before the lesson. Any lessons cancelled by the Student/Group with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full. This notice period allows the slot to be offered to someone on the waiting list. Any lessons can be rescheduled by the Student/Group if the Tutor is notified at least with 48 hours’ notice.

Individual/Group lessons: block bookings

Payment: The Block of bookings will be charged at the agreed rate per hour, payable at least 24 hours before the first lesson, by bank transfer. If the invoice has not been settled prior to the first lesson that package is covering, you will be charged the standard hourly rate for that first lesson.

Cancellations/ Rescheduling: If there are any lessons of the package you are unable to attend then the Tutor must be notified at least 48 hours before the lesson. Any lessons cancelled by the Student with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full. Any lessons can be rescheduled by the Student/Group if the Tutor is notified at least with 48 hours’ notice.

A maximum of 2 further cancellations per 10 lessons (20%) are permissible; if this is exceeded then the Tutor reserves the right to terminate tuition so that the slot can be offered to someone else.

Generally, the following terms apply:

Late Arrival: Please note that the student is booked in for a particular time slot; the Tutor undertakes to always be available for the full duration of the agreed slot, but if the student arrives late then the time will not be made up afterwards.

Illness: If the student normally has face-to-face lessons but has an infectious illness (such that they would be expected to stay away from their place of education/work), or is unable to travel to the lesson venue, then no face-to-face lesson will take place, but an online lesson will be offered as a substitute. The Tutor is under no obligation to offer an alternative lesson slot for any reason.

Tutor Cancellation: If the Tutor is obliged to cancel a lesson then either the lesson will be rearranged for a mutually convenient time or that lesson will not be charged. Lessons will continue until a mutually agreed termination date, subject to two paid lessons’ notice on either side. Any overpayment will be refunded. Both parties reserve the right to terminate lessons should they no longer be considered beneficial to the Student.

Inappropriate behaviour: Inappropriate behaviours may result in removal without notice, in which case no refund will be offered.

Pre-Paid Packages: Tuition hours or packages purchased through a package are valid for 1-months from the date of purchase. I will always contact you prior to expiring lessons in your account.

Refunds: Typically, I will not refund for any lessons that have taken place, however, this is decided on a case by case basis. I do not offer any refunds if you choose not to proceed with your tutoring engagement/s. I do not offer any refunds on hourly type engagement/s.

Changes to Terms: I reserve the right to change these terms at any time. The current terms and conditions will always be displayed on this website. It is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with these terms. See the date of the last updated version above.
